About Valentin

I have been a guitarist for over 15 years, I have a degree at the regional conservatory of Reims in classical guitar, chamber music and music theory.
I have been a guitar teacher in several municipal schools, as well as a jury for others.
I am currently teacher in the "Swing Romane Academy" in Fontainebleau. I have also to my credit hundreds of concerts in different styles: classical, picking, jazz, variety, Latin music ...
I am also the webmaster of a website where I publish scores and records of great guitarists.

I started the guitar by learning the picking or finger style thanks to my father who was a big fan of Marcel Dadi, I studied this style a lot and continue to do it today.
Later I entered the faculty of musicology and the conservatory where I obtained my diploma in classical guitar and music theory.
I then became interested in jazz through gypsy jazz and it is currently the main music that I play.
I also lived for several years in Spain where I learned Latin, Cuban, Venezuelan music through contact with local musicians ...

About the lesson

Having witnessed the problem of conservatory teaching and the few students with the courage and motivation to go to the end, I do not want to enroll in this pedagogy, even if I am anyway capable and I have already led several students to pass their conservatory entrance exam.

I prefer to adapt to each person according to their level and their desires, with or without music theory, with or without theory.
Try to find the style of music that best suits the person in front of me, to teach him the most suitable technique for that style (fingers or plectrum).
I like to create compositions according to needs or look for an application piece that he would like to play. I also like to invent technical exercises adapted to the gaps of each one.
In short everything is possible and I will try to adapt as well as possible to your needs.

Rencontré à un concert où il jouait, j’ai été surprise par sa grande dexterité! Par la suite nous avons joué ensemble une ou deux fois, il s’est montré très apprenant, avec une grande patience :) je le recommande, vous apprendrez avec plaisir !
