About Yara
Hello!
My name is Yara. I recently graduated from the University of Edinburgh.
I grew up in Jordan and Arabic is therefore my mother tongue!
I have always been drawn to Arabic poetry and literature, and enjoy teaching greatly. Combining these two interests of mine just seems natural to me.

I believe that learning a language should be a fun and enriching experience. I like to alternate lessons between fundamentals as well as flexible sessions customised around my student’s interests. This would involve exploring texts and articles that my student will find engaging. Arabic is a beautiful language, but I believe that focusing only on its technical aspects makes it unnecessarily difficult and frustrating.
I dedicate the first two sessions to understanding my student’s needs and level and personalise upcoming lessons accordingly.
