About Arthur
My name is Arthur Decock, I graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp in July of 2020 as with a master's degree in Drama, Art of Speech.
In school I was guided and assisted by, among others, Bart Moeyaert, Maud Vanhauwaert, Jurgen Delnaet, Willem de Wolf, Wouter Hillaert, ... in a range of subjects: poetry writing, performing on stage, speech and language, writing prose, making podcasts ,. Since September 2020 I also started with the Educational Master at the Conservatory, to be able to teach in the DKO and Kunsthumaniora's.

I base my lessons on both the competence guides of the DKO and my own career within Higher Art Education. This way I can always adapt lessons specifically to the needs of the student in question. Important points are: discovering your own voice and broadening your artistic view of the (art) world. My methods often rely on free association, a lot of fantasy and an honest attitude on stage. I don't tend to focus on classical acting, but rather on the honest power of the speaker / storyteller. Often there is nothing more than the language and the person, and it doesn't have to be more than that.

Perfect! Ik heb een heel aangename eerste les achter de rug! Arthur hield rekening met mijn specifieke noden en vaardigheden en pastte zijn lesprogramma hieraan aan. Al in al een erg leerrijke ervaring. Ik kijk uit naar de volgende lessen!

Perfect! Hij was zeer meedenkend en aandachtig. Zijn adviessen waren duidelijk en goed genuanceerd, ik heb veel bij geleerd van hem, zowel op uitvoerend vlak als op theoretisch vlak. Hij heeft goede boeken en teksten aangeraden om mij zo ook meer te laten leren kennen.
