About Fernando
A clear indication that defines me as a teacher is that I have taken some of my students, those who have been resilient enough, from Beginner level to Advanced level of English proficiency. Students who have been with me for three, four, or even five years studying hard but, at the same time, enjoying the process and who, in the end, have certified themselves through a Cambridge Assessment exam on their level of proficiency in the language.

Teaching method: I follow "formal" teaching materials (teaching English series from different providers). In adition, I use extra materials obtained via online like grammar and vocabulary information and exercises in order to stress on specific topics.
A tipical lesson plan: it is previously prepared based on the classbook sylabus, what topics have been seen in the previous class or classes, and the activities to be developed by the student or students in class, such as quizzes or exams, conversational acitivites, videos or movies to be seen, games, field trips, social afterhour activities, etc.
What sets you apart as a tutor: I am not a languages teacher simply. I bring all my professional and life/personal experience into the class room which results in a very nice, friendly and captivating class enviroment. Sometimes, I become a kind of storyteller based on my own experiences from the past, which is something the students like to hear. I also elicit them to talk about their own experiences of life. The classes become something "human", something "warm", a great learning and teaching experience.
Who the lessons are for: kids (9-11 year olds, teenagers, adults, and withing this last category, adult professionals. From beginner to advance level students. From different backgrounds and nationalities.
