About Dalla

I speak fluent Mandarin after 8 years of learning and practicing. I started to learn Mandarin in high school and obtained the result of 20/20 in the baccalaureate. I continued my studies in literary preparatory class, then at the university in Paris and in China. I am now a graduate in Chinese language from the University of Paris (Paris Diderot). I returned from a stay of several months in China, after having carried out a semester of studies at the University of International Studies in Shanghai. I am thus able to deliver courses at beginner, intermediate and advanced level, in other words at college, high school and university level.

About the lesson

My teaching method is based on the level and needs of the learner. 1: It is first of all a preliminary assessment of the level acquired so far (HSK test simulation, or assessment of the results already obtained), an observation which will serve as a starting point for defining the level to follow during lessons. 2: It follows a definition of the objective to be reached: the goal set by the learner will allow me to adjust the pace and the teaching themes (punctual support, initiation, regular progression, intensive follow-up ... / school, tourist, professional need ...). 3: The objective once set, I will establish a program with a level objective to be reached over time, as well as intermediate and final evaluations in order to measure the progress made (if necessary by the learner). This objective can always be reassessed if the learner's needs and / or requirements change (for example, if we go from regular and supervised learning to free lessons / support from time to time). In a more general way, and whatever the level of learning, I make work as much the written and oral comprehension, as the written and oral expression (except if express request emanating from the learner or in case of punctual support ). Depending on the number of lessons, we will divide the four exercises into one or more sessions, in addition to monitoring vocabulary learning (tests / quiz). 1: Reading comprehension: learning characters, vocabulary, grammar, reading, translation; 2: Listening comprehension: listening to recordings, songs, videos (reports, programs, series); 3: Written expression: learning characters, vocabulary, writing (summaries, essays), translation; 4: Oral expression: 4 tones, pronunciation, reading, conversations, presentations, talks. I base my lessons on books and methods at college, high school and university level, on specialized vocabulary textbooks, on HSK character lists and vocabulary from 1 to 6, as well as on audio and video content available in file or online. For regular learning, I make a point of varying the supports and contents, in order to bring the learning method as close as possible to an initial learning of everyday life. * Note 1: this method is only valid for regular learning. I can deliver any other type of course as part of a specific and specific need (for example a homework assignment, a presentation or meeting to perform, interview simulation, translation of a document ...). * Note 2: I can base vocabulary learning on English-Chinese and not French-Chinese lists, the same for translations, for those who wish to follow the learning of both languages at the same time, or are more fluent. comfortable with English than French. * Note 3: I can also give thematic courses concerning China and East Asia (history, culture, economy, politics, bilateral relations, ...), myself having a specialization in international relations with China and East Asia.
