• When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

  I developed a keen interest in my chosen field of private tutoring when I began taking classes from a close friend who was a proficient tutor. His dedication and teaching skills inspired me to delve into the intricacies of tutoring. I initiated my journey by informally assisting my brother and two of his friends in preparing for their upcoming tests. Through this intimate experience, I discovered the immense satisfaction I derived from helping individuals grasp subjects that I had once struggled with myself.

• Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

  Currently, I specialize in teaching mathematics and physics. I possess the capability to instruct in English, biology, and chemistry at the high school, middle school, and elementary levels. I am particularly passionate about establishing a personal connection with my students, creating an environment in which they feel comfortable posing questions and engaging in critical thinking during our lessons. I also employ the Socratic method of questioning, which encourages active recall and enhances students' understanding and retention of the subject matter.

• Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

  My most significant role model has been my mathematics teacher from my previous school, who incidentally was the top tutor on this platform with over a thousand hours of tutelage. He served as a source of inspiration, urging me to share my knowledge and equip students with the skills needed to surpass my own abilities. My goal is to one day be surrounded by individuals I can learn from, rather than just teach.

• What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

  The qualities I consider essential for a good tutor include a deep passion for the subject matter and an abundance of patience. Passion motivates one to continuously expand their knowledge, while patience equips them with the ability to adapt to diverse learning styles, ensuring effective teaching.

• Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

  A habit I've maintained since my school days, which I find invaluable, is my tendency to ask questions relentlessly. I have no qualms about asking even seemingly simple or "dumb" questions. I firmly believe that this inquisitive approach benefits both myself and others, as the answers to these questions contribute to a deeper understanding. My primary objective has always been to acquire and share knowledge without hesitation.

• What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still facing in your subject?

  One of the challenges I've encountered, and continue to face, is my propensity for delving deeply into topics, often going off on tangents to explore intricate details. While this curiosity can be beneficial in enhancing my understanding, it sometimes poses a challenge in maintaining focus on the core subject matter.

• Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?

  I have a profound passion for healthcare topics. Since childhood, I have enjoyed sharing fascinating facts with everyone I encounter, and I have continued this habit to this day. I believe that this inclination has honed my teaching skills and provides me with a sense of fulfillment during my lessons.
