About Luke

I hold a BA (Hons) in Biblical Studies and Theology from the University of Wales. I have also specialised in Western Christianity (200-1650) through Yale University, Magic in the Middle Ages via the University of Barcelona, and The Bible’s Prehistory, Purpose, and Political Future from Emory University. I have also spent over seven years independently studying the works of the Early Church Fathers and participated in various short-term missions to South Africa.

I have published a book on early church history (plus a companion book), a devotional prayer book using the Lectio Divina method. I'm currently working on a new book about what happened at the Council of Nicaea.

I am also an Anglican discerning a vocation to ordination in the Church of England.

I am an Anglican discerning a vocation to ordination in the Church of England, with a deep passion for theology and the early Church. Since 2013, I have been writing a theological blog, which has recently surpassed 1 million visits, and I have had an article published in the Academia Letters Journal. I am continuously expanding my knowledge through research and study.

Alongside my writing, I have practical experience in teaching, preaching, and mission work, having led church groups, served as a youth minister, and guided others in their theological learning. While I am new to formal tutoring, I have extensive experience leading small groups and teaching on a variety of theological topics.

I offer personalised 1-to-1 tutoring for adults at all levels, from beginners to advanced students. My teaching style is flexible and tailored to individual learning goals, ensuring a supportive and engaging experience.

My areas of focus include Old Testament prophecy, New Testament theology and eschatology, and Patristics, particularly the early Church Fathers up to the Nicene period (c. AD 400). I am passionate about helping others deepen their understanding of these subjects and grow in their theological journey.
