About Letso P

I have a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science and have experience working in the telecommunications industry. I have traveled to many countries doing community work, touring and doing telecommunications work. I volunteer as a tutor at two after-school programs in the southern peninsula suburbs of Cape Town, where we help students with their school subjects and my focus is on English, Mathematics and Science. Having been in an industry where mathematics is applied, I'm passionate about helping learners understand the subject and apply it to real life.
I have also taught English as a second language at SALA English school and EF Cape Town to students from Latin America, Asia, Europe and online to students from various countries.

About the lesson

My lessons are learner-centered, determining what the learner already knows and building from that. We work together on the concept ensuring that the learner is confident enough to move to the next level. We all learn differently and there are several ways of approaching problems or exercises and this will be incorporated in my lessons. I assist mathematics learners from grade 8 to grade 11.

P

Puleng

She is an interactive and engaging tutor with a strong enthusiasm for Mathematics. She tends to explain challenging concepts through relatable examples while building on the learner's existing knowledge. I observed her teaching approach when she assisted my son with his grade 10 mathematics project.
Following this experience, my son gained a better understanding of algebraic equations, showed increased interest, and became confident in completing the work independently. She not only provided lessons but also followed up on my son's progress.
