About Sarah
I am an artist, educator, and scholar, currently on a Fulbright Fellowship doing historical and artistic research in Italy. I hold an MFA in Dance and Gender/Women's Studies from University of Illinois and a BA in Dance and Sociology from Wesleyan University. I was a university writing tutor for 3 years, and I tutored children (ages 8-14) for 2 years following. I also taught at the university level (practice and theory dance courses) for 3 years.

I tutor middle school, high school, and university students (including theses/grad theses) on academic and creative writing. I am a patient and calm instructor. Often in my sessions, we begin with conversations to get thoughts flowing and then go into writing exercises or editing. I find creative approaches to help students move past writer's block and write clearly.
