About Thomas
I know that chemistry is a subject that can be quite difficult, and at times both in high school and in college I found myself asking for help. A patient teacher made the difference for me, and that is the kind of help that I aim to provide to my students. I take multiple approaches to teaching the subject, and believe that my experience of learning chemistry and finding a way to make it work despite struggling at first has given me a valuable perspective that I'd love to pass on.

I am all about listening to what my students are struggling with, to figure out where the most attention is needed. Then, taking a step back to look at the concept(s) from different angles. I know firsthand that the same explanation won't always make sense to every student, because the same was often true for me. I appreciate the challenge of searching for the right combination of words to build the level of understanding needed to help students succeed in their courses.
I can prepare students by helping them gain comprehension in high school chemistry, through the AP level.
