About Julia

I am a graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with a BMus with honours. I have several years worth of music theory teaching experience. I taught at the Musical Originals school for 3 years and I have 2 years experience teaching piano and music theory at G12 performing arts where I taught children between the ages of 4 and 9.

About the lesson

I believe music theory is a crucial aspect of musical development and also a fun and fascinating subject in itself! My lessons are totally learner centred and I will adapt my teaching methods to suit you and to incorporate your interests as much as possible. We will set goals for your development and work together to meet them.

Julia in the past has helped me when it came to difficult subjects at school and always explained them in a patient and concise way, helping me to develop my understanding of the subject. Whilst she is not only a good tutor, she is a kind and friendly person who is always able to put people at ease.
