About Jeremy
I grew up in Brentwood, Los Angeles, and attended Viewpoint School, where I graduated as salutatorian of my class. I then attended the University of Tampa, where I studied International Business and Data Analysis with a concentration in Real Estate Finance. I graduated summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA.
Although my academic background is not directly in English literature, writing has been an essential part of every stage of my education. In fact, writing was something I initially struggled with. Learning how to develop my ideas, structure an argument, find and incorporate credible sources, and communicate my perspective effectively required a great deal of practice and persistence.
Over time, I developed the skills, and the grit, to become a strong writer. What started as a challenge eventually became something I genuinely enjoyed. Essays became one of my favorite ways to explore ideas, express personal perspectives, and engage with academic subjects.

My goal as a tutor is to make writing feel less overwhelming and much more manageable. Whether a student is struggling to come up with ideas, organize their thoughts, understand an assignment, find credible sources, or polish a final draft, I focus on giving them a clear process they can use independently.
I take a collaborative, student-focused approach. Rather than simply correcting a student's work, I explain why something works, why it may need improvement, and how they can recognize and apply those principles in future assignments. I want students to leave each lesson feeling more confident in their ability to write, not just with a better paper.
