About Alba

I would like to introduce myself. My name is Alba, a 23-years-old Spanish girl. I studied a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education (students from 6 to 12 years old) in order to become an English Elementary Teacher in Spain, and after it, I studied a Master about teaching Spanish to foreign people (from children to adults). Furthermore, I had experience in working with children since I was 16 years old. I have been working as a private teacher to individual students or groups, a sport trainer, a teacher in summer language camps and a team member in an Early Childcare with babies and toddlers.

About the lesson

My main objective is to give Spanish classes to anyone who is willing to learn, regardless their age or level. My way of teaching is to adapt the content according to the needs and objectives established by the students at the beginning of the sessions in order to guide the learning process and focus it on the results they expect . For this, the classes will focus on a more practical and experimental learning with the aim of acquiring the necessary theoretical knowledge but without using the memory, but rather the understanding of the content so the students can acquire it much more easily and in a more active and effective way.

Lessons can take place at the student's home, if preferred, or online with total flexibility of timetables. In addition, sessions can be individual or in groups (with a maximum of four people in each group). In the case of a group with different levels of Spanish, the classes will be personalized and adjusted to the individual level of each member of the group.

On the other hand, during the classes we will not only deal with theoretical contents about the language, but we will be completely immersed in Spanish as a second language, learning colloquial expressions, formal conversations, its culture, its traditions, the lifestyle of the Spanish-speaking countries, etc., and all of this will be carried out through activities that reinforce language immersion and motivate the student to not only know the language, but to understand it and discover a new culture through experiential learning.
