About Allison
I am a graduate from UCSD that has worked as a college English tutor, middle school teacher, and resume/college application tutor. I have years of experience and training in pedagogy and it is a passion of mine. Additionally, I have worked for several universities doing research in Sociology of education. (Stanford, Harvard, UCSD, etc.)
My research focuses on creating an equitable and diverse environment for disadvantaged students. I understand deeply that education systems do not always provide the necessary resources or support needed for each student and it is my passion to attempt to fix that.

I take a very open and welcoming teaching style. I have a lot of experience teaching different ways at different levels and I find that students learn best when they are able to come to conclusions on their own. My goal is to guide and aid in this journey. Every student learns differently and it's all about finding the best way so that we can build solid foundational skills!
