About Gavin
I am a first-gen graduate of UCSB, and a former AP and AVID student. I earned great AP scores (4 or 5) in AP U.S. History, AP U.S. Government and Politics, AP English Language and Composition, AP English Literature and Composition, and AP Seminar. I also used to be an after-school program coach, infusing academic skills with fun to keep students engaged.

Fundamentals-based coaching tailored to high school students taking U.S. History, Government and Politics, or English Writing and Composition.
My private tutoring sessions are designed to work in tandem with classroom learning, building on fundamental skills that will set students up for success in their current classes as well as their future studies.
I find the most effective way to build these skills outside of the classroom is to let students and their interests lead. My sessions will draw on student's areas of interest to build academic and professional skills that will last, while keeping them engaged and excited to learn!
My services are remote, accessible, and most importantly affordable. Times are tough for us all right now, and I hope to be a valuable resource for students who need some additional help but don't have the bandwidth to sit through more lectures.
