About Wesley
I have always had a strong background in education in many different settings. Throughout college, I worked as a substitute teacher across all different subjects and grades. During medical school, I sat on curriculum committees, developed courses and simulations, and assisted in the implementation of novel learning ideas. Now as a physician I work with medical students teaching from the cellular level to the clinical presentation of a patient and received the Outstanding Teacher Award from the University of Arizona College of Medicine. In my free time I play multiple instruments, work on cars, and spend as much time outside as possible!

My primary background is in the sciences with a bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences and environmental studies as well as a medical doctorate, making for a broad passion for many disciplines. I currently practice medicine as a pediatrics resident and am also interested in professional development for students in all studies. I believe in evidence-based approaches to education that develop long-term knowledge retention and critical analysis of a subject rather than simple memorization. My focused approach to your learning needs comes from a few steps that can help both of us be successful in the learning environment.
