About Sofie
With sports, come mistakes. It's inevitable, but those mistakes teach you so much beyond the sport. I love the idea of kids wanting to play and loving the game. It's an incredible experience. Yes, it's hard work, but it's so worth it. Even the losses are good; they show where you and your team need improvement, and one-on-one work is so much better in my opinion than team practices only.

Before my injury (reason for stopping) I played for the Junior Olympic soccer team. I had multiple colleges interested in me for soccer, volleyball, and track. I understand sports on top of school isn't easy, but it's so so worth it. I had bad experiences with coaches and I plan on going to college to become a coach next year. I want to help kids learn that one coach can definitely make you dislike the game, but it's YOUR game, not theirs.
