About David
I am a critical thinker who has worked in the field of Race Relations for twenty years. I have lived and worked on Indigenous communities in Australia for 10 years and was trained by Elders to teach non- Indigenous people how to have the hard conversations. I enjoy the process of transformative learning that takes place when we apply critical thinking to complex sociological issues that impacT communities impacted by colonisation and continuing disadvantage.
I have been married 30 years and have four children and live in rural Australia.

I like to assist students in critical thinking so as to better deconstruct complex socio-political contexts that impact research and practice. I have particularly enjoyed guiding students to unpack their own psycho- socio-cultural space so as to learn more effectively. Knowing why you know why you know is a particular focus so that students recognise the lens through which they view the world and can then apply a clearer analysis to their research or practice.
