About Sahar
I am a qualified Social Worker, educator, and human rights advocate with over 16 years of experience working in complex case management, trauma-informed practice, and supporting refugees and marginalized communities.
My career has been dedicated to walking alongside individuals facing significant barriers — including trauma, displacement, mental health challenges, and systemic disadvantage. This work has shaped not only my professional expertise, but my deep belief in the power of ethical, culturally responsive, and strengths-based practice.
As an educator in Community Services and Mental Health, I am passionate about supporting the next generation of practitioners to move beyond “just passing” assessments. I want my students to feel confident in their skills, grounded in theory, and prepared for real-world practice.
I am particularly passionate about:
Trauma-informed and culturally safe practice
Systems advocacy and social justice
Empowering students to find their professional voice
Bridging the gap between theory and frontline work
Teaching for me is not just academic support — it is about mentoring future practitioners who will make meaningful change in their communities.
