About Kara

My name is Kara and I am a postgraduate student. I have a BA and MA in literature studies, and I am currently a PhD candidate. I am passionate about literature and teaching, and I aspire to be a university lecturer in the future. I enjoy making sessions as fun and productive as possible, to make the learning process fulfilling for both my tutees and myself! I have been tutoring for 3 years and have an enhanced DBS check.

About the lesson

I have taught students from primary school level to higher education. I specialise in English Literature and language, and teaching using scaffolded learning (breaking lessons down into manageable units to teach new questions/subjects), to make it easier for students to master new topics and skills.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Kara. She is a very knowledgeable tutor who clearly prepares her lessons thoroughly and has a lovely warm reassuring manner which puts students at ease and helps them to learn and progress. She would be an excellent choice for whatever level of tuition is required.
