About Susannah
I’m genuinely passionate about the field of neurodegeneration and the science behind understanding and treating complex diseases like Alzheimer’s. My academic journey and research experience have been driven by a deep curiosity about how the brain works and a commitment to contributing to meaningful advances in biomedical science. As someone who has worked in both academic and collaborative lab settings, I bring a professional, respectful, and organised approach to everything I do. You can expect clear communication, strong subject knowledge, and a supportive learning environment. I take pride in creating a space where students feel comfortable asking questions, exploring ideas, and building their confidence in the subject. I will provide personalised slides and practice questions for each student. The first lesson will be free and cover the key topics the student wants support with. Each lesson will be 1 hour or more if the student wishes. I have a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from the University of St Andrews and am completing a master's from the University of Cambridge in Biological Sciences. While I do not have experience yet with tutoring, I have completed work experience in schools, presented my research projects to a non-scientific audience, and supported lab members. I am available to tutor biology for GCSE and A Level students.
