About Shayus
I am a freelance private tutor for over 10 years, with a wealth of experience tutoring a wide range of subjects. My passion is to guide you to bloom intellectually, discover your own potential, and unlock quantum leaps in your confidence and aptitude. My big dream is to empower more youths to be critically engaged and lifelong learners. Beyond tutoring, I am also passionate about collaborative learning and have hosted book clubs and reading groups on complex texts and subjects like Theory and Philosophy. I am also deeply interested in Popular Culture, and how these relate to our Social, Political and Economic climates. You will not be bored during our lessons!

I always start with an inventory of study skills and approaches that the student has prior to commencing our lessons, and to also have a close look at the main issues they are facing.
We will then collaboratively work towards setting expectations on weekly tasks and milestones we aim to achieve. From there, we will decide on the duration and frequency of our lessons (anywhere between 1.5 hours to 3 hours, depending on desired intensity and scope of coverage). Depending on the needs of the student, we will focus on content clarification through reading and discussion, application of content to questions, or skills-based exercises, or a mixture of these three aspects.
My lessons are tailored to be suitable for Upper Primary Students, Secondary Levels and GCE 'A' Level students.
