About Shenglan

I graduated from the language and linguistics major, studying the nature of language and how human study and master a language so I will have effective methods to teach language and encourage learners to study language. For instance, I have a 4- step practice system for oral language, that is discover(discover some ideas for a particular topic), try(try to give your answer), practice(see the expression usage and repeat to practice) and build-up(use by yourself in different context to build your language reservoir) . My living experience and background in China allows me to speak and use Chinese language flexibly. Chinese culture like diet, opera, costume, literature are all in my knowledge scope. I once worked in a private educational company to teach Chinese.

About the lesson

I tend to interact with students in the class by teaching the course like a conversation, for instance, encouraging them to think before I show the knowledge, and correct them based on their answer. I will teach through creating specific situations to show the related and practical expressions ,such as telling a Chinese story to show interesting four- word expressions or creating the situation by myself to show how these expressions are used correctly. I will also teach the expression and language usage through different topics, such as greeting, ordering in restaurant etc.
For example, if I am going to teach vocabulary about food. I will encourage students to first name some specific food and then show a story like cooking in kitchen including related vocabulary and idioms. I have been living in China since I was born , which allows me to have a perfect understanding of Chinese language and culture. I majored in language and linguistics so I know how to teach language. Students with zero-level, entry-level, medium-level can come to learn Chinese pronunciation, expression and culture. Studentsalso have access to Chinese speech class, writing, reading , speaking ,listening class etc. I will provide service according to the fields you need.
