About Alyssa
I am currently working as a phlebotomist and lab technician at a hospital near me and studying to take my GRE as preparation to apply to Physician Assistant school this spring. I am very passionate about both science and healthcare so naturally anatomy drew me in as an undergraduate student. I am fascinated by how the human body works and my experience as a teaching assistant taught me that I am equally passionate about sharing my knowledge with others in order to help them further their educational careers. Outside of school and work, I enjoy long distance running, cooking, and listening to true crime podcasts.

At K-State, I helped teach and tutor for Human Body 1, our anatomy program for a year. Here I used models and books as tools to teach undergraduate students and hosted open lab sections where students could attend and ask questions. Additionally, I completed our advanced anatomy course which included dissecting a cadaver and teaching anatomy to students weekly. These experiences gave me a solid background in anatomy and reinforced my fascination with the subject which I believe sets me apart as a tutor.
