About Nicole
I am an avid reader with a long history of experience in editorial work for newspapers and student agencies. I can type over 90 words per minute, and my entire motivation is a deep love of words. I am currently a receptionist for a financial firm where my main responsibilities are proofing and drafting legal documentation.
I want to tutor to help clients become the most knowledgeable they can be. Words are power, reading is a gift, and writing is an asset.
Every one of us wants to be understood, and there is no better way to enable you to your full potential than to provide you with the language you need. Whether that need to be understood is the essay you need a good grade on, the short story you want to workshop, or the article you need help citing, I am thrilled to help.

Hello!
For my lessons I prefer a peer review format. First, I'll want to gauge your comfortability level and strong suits. Maybe you have amazing grammar but you struggle with diction, or perhaps you have syntax down but want to expand your prose. What makes your work yours and how can we enhance your voice?
My style is built on the trade-off. We will utilize Google Docs, email, and in-person meetings to fine-tune with edits and questions. I also encourage reading and can prescribe titles specific to each age group that are excellent for increasing comprehension and building your literary voice.
For students looking to build on a new skill, I will engage you with prompts and writing exercises particular to each niche, and work with you in the moment to express areas of insecurity and opportunities for improvement.
My lessons are most useful for middle school until early college students. I work with essay writing, creative writing, English, grammar, and technical pieces.
