About Arash

Hi! My name is Arash, and I am a second-year Chemical Engineering student at the University of Toronto. I have a strong background in chemistry, having completed the IB Diploma with a score of 39/45, including a perfect 7 in Chemistry. With over two years of tutoring experience, I understand that every student has a unique way of learning, and I tailor my teaching approach to meet their needs. My goal is to simplify challenging concepts, build confidence, and help students excel in chemistry through clear explanations and problem-solving strategies. Whether you’re preparing for exams, struggling with certain topics, or looking to strengthen your understanding, I’m here to help with a structured and supportive approach. About the lesson

I believe that truly understanding chemistry goes beyond memorization—it's about grasping why concepts work and how to apply them. My teaching approach builds a strong foundation while developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills through clear explanations, real-world examples, and structured practice. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s learning pace to ensure clarity and confidence.

A Typical Lesson Plan:
1. Assessing Student Needs – Identifying strengths, weaknesses, and academic goals.
2. Concept Breakdown – Simplifying complex topics with clear explanations, diagrams, and examples.
3. Guided Problem-Solving – Working through problems together to reinforce understanding.
4. Independent Application – The student attempts problems on their own with my guidance as needed.
5. Review and Reinforcement – Recapping key concepts, addressing confusion, and assigning practice problems to strengthen understanding between lessons.

- Level: Middle school and high school students, including IB Chemistry (SL and HL).
- Subjects Covered: General Chemistry, Stoichiometry, Thermodynamics, Atomic Structure, Chemical Bonding, Acids & Bases, Organic Chemistry, and more.
