About Dalia

Hello, my name is Dalia. I was born and raised in Milan in a mixed-ethnic family ... my mum is Italian and my dad is Egyptian. Arabic and Arab culture have always been part of my life! It's a pleasure to now being able to transmit them to others.

About the lesson

My qualifications:
I have a Master Degree in Social Anthropology and Intensive Arabic Language at SOAS University of London. During my first year I have attended 8+ hours of Arabic per hour which brought my level to B1 thus enabling me to attend Modern Standard Arabic course during the summer of 2021 in a Jordanian University. Now, after graduating with a distinction, I can proudly affirm to have gained confidence in the language which enables me to teach.

Teaching experience:
I have extensive experience (2+ years) of tutoring across all age groups. I have tutored kids (8 - 13) as well as adults. I also enhanced my teaching experience during my MA during which I delivered a course of Arabic calligraphy at SOAS University. Whatever your needs are, I can accommodate them!

Info about classes:
My classes have a typical length of 50-60 minutes depending on student's needs. They are meant for students of all age groups with no previous knowledge of Arabic or of a pre-intermediate level. I can teach both in Italian and in English.

Teaching technique:
My classes aim at covering the fundamentals of Arabic across speaking, reading and writing. My teaching method varies according to my student and their needs. Generally, I aim at mixing traditional grammar and vocabulary techniques, with multimodal methods... Arabic literature, tv and music are all part of my methodology!
