About Zahrah

Hi, I’m Zahrah! I’m a friendly and enthusiastic student who genuinely loves Biology and enjoys helping other people understand it too.

I achieved a Grade 8 in GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics, and I’m about to start studying Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths at A-level. I’m hoping to study Medicine in the future, so science is something I’m really passionate about!

I have experience tutoring Biology, Chemistry and Physics, as well as Maths, so I’ve had lots of experience explaining different topics and finding ways to make complicated ideas easier to understand. I’m patient and approachable, and I always want my students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes — that’s how you learn!

I really enjoy getting to know the students I work with and figuring out what teaching style works best for them. I know that science can sometimes feel like there’s a LOT to remember, so my aim is to make it feel simpler, more interesting and much less overwhelming.

Whether you’re struggling with a particular topic, preparing for an exam or just want to build your confidence, I’ll be happy to help!

About the lesson

Hi! I’m Zahrah, and I’m a friendly and enthusiastic Biology tutor who aims to make lessons enjoyable, relaxed and, most importantly, easy to understand.

My teaching approach is centred around explaining concepts in a simple way before gradually building up to more challenging material. I like to use diagrams, real-life examples, active recall and exam-style questions to help students understand the content rather than simply memorise it. I also adapt my lessons to each student, as everyone learns differently.

A typical lesson would last around 1 hour, although I’m happy to be flexible depending on the student’s needs. We might spend some of the lesson learning or revisiting a topic, followed by practice questions and exam technique to make sure the student can apply what they have learnt.

I achieved a Grade 8 in GCSE Biology and will be studying Biology and Chemistry at A-level. I also have previous tutoring experience in Maths, as well as experience supporting younger students as a teaching assistant.

My lessons are aimed primarily at GCSE Biology students, particularly those who want to improve their understanding, confidence and exam technique. Whether you’re struggling with a specific topic, preparing for an upcoming test, or looking for regular support throughout the year, I’ll tailor lessons to your individual goals.
