About Morvern
I want to teach because I have seen first-hand the difference that an encouraging and knowledgeable teacher can make. Music has been a hugely rewarding part of my life, and I enjoy helping others develop the skills and confidence to experience that same enjoyment. Whether a student is working towards an exam, preparing for university applications, or learning simply for personal interest, I find it incredibly rewarding to support them in achieving their goals.
Having recently graduated, I also understand the challenges that students can face and the importance of patient, personalised guidance. I aim to make lessons engaging, approachable, and tailored to each individual's needs, creating an environment in which students feel motivated to ask questions, overcome difficulties, and make steady progress.

My music theory lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs, whether they are preparing for ABRSM or Trinity examinations, studying GCSE or A-level Music, or simply looking to strengthen their understanding of music. I aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their confidence.
Lessons combine clear explanations with practical exercises, helping students to understand not only the rules of music theory but also how they apply in performance and composition. We cover topics such as notation, harmony, rhythm, analysis, and aural skills at a pace that suits the learner. My goal is to make music theory accessible, enjoyable, and rewarding, equipping students with the knowledge and confidence to achieve their musical ambitions.
