About Angela

I have been teaching for 15 years. I have degrees and certifications in Elementary and Middle Grades Education, Gifted Education, Reading Content Specialist, Teacher Leadership, and Educational Leadership. This comes from an array of degrees which includes an Associate degree in Art, Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education, two Ed Specialist degrees in Leadership, and three additional endorsements and certifications. I believe that we are meant to always be expanding our knowledge- and I live that belief in my own life. Besides my job as the gifted Education Teacher in my school (grades 1-5), I also teach and tutor children around the world. I’ve been tutoring online for 12 years for students in preschool through college- even adult learners! I love meeting new people and helping them learn! It’s what I do- but it’s also who I am! I can’t wait to work with you!

About the lesson

First, and most importantly, I believe in making learning FUN! We remember things we enjoy! I like to always have a clear understanding of the needs of the learner. I will talk to students about the areas of frustration, and also the parents (when possible for younger learners) to get as much information as possible. I have a wide array of teaching strategies because I work with students across every grade level and from 3 to 83! We learn the content through a variety of strategies- song, stories, poems, video, journaling, discussion, book clubs, great books on specific topics- we will be flexible! We will find what works, and do what it takes to get the student the understanding necessary to be successful and confident! Best of all, we will have fun while we learn! Join me today!
