About Valentine

Initially graduating with a bachelor's degree in jewelry design, I then decided to specialize in a more scientific field, better suited to the Swiss market (where I'm from). After graduating from the SSEF in 2024, I moved to the GIA in 2026, where I am now a graduate gemologist with expertise in pearls. My dual role as a designer and gemologist gives me extensive knowledge of the jewelry industry. Today, I wish to teach this magnificent science of gemology, which is still too little known. I currently work as a gemologist and 3D design assistant in Clarens, Switzerland, for StarDust Opals. This is where we can meet for in-person classes. With an international education spanning Switzerland, the United States, and Japan, I possess a comprehensive vision and an open mind that will make all the difference.

About the lesson

Let's unlock all the secrets of your favorite gems! The GIA taught me everything, and now it's my turn to pass it on to you! My course will be completely customizable to your goals and skill level! I can teach you everything that interests you: identifying stones, learning their history, understanding the instruments, deciphering a report… Courses are available in person (preferable for hands-on practice in the field alongside me) or online (more for the historical and methodical aspects, to lay the foundations).
