About Salvador

My name is Salvador. I will graduate in fall 2024 with a Master’s degree in Business Administration. I am currently working in airline interiors as an apprentice until January 2025. After completing my degree, I plan to attend a bag-making school in Florence, Italy.
I love crafting with leather—it’s my passion, not just a hobby. My dedication to this art sets me apart from those who simply create. As a leather artisan, I put my mind, heart, and soul into every piece. This vision of who I want to become is slowly becoming a reality. I never expected to find myself in leather crafting, but I’m grateful to have discovered it, and I’m excited to see where this journey takes me.
Beyond crafting, I enjoy playing the harmonica, guitar, and piano. I also love cooking and gardening; currently, I have garlic, kale, and carrots growing.

About the lesson

I will guide you to make your first leather keychain, making this keychain will teach you patience, selecting leather, knife cutting, gluing, and overall satisfaction with making something practical and fashionable. you don't need much to get started with leather crafting. I read books about braiding and weaving leather, lacing, and hand stitching leather. My process for my projects start by drafting by hand. If you want to make yourself a handbag, purse, tote bag, wallet, sleeve, or a bracelet. It starts with making a design first then drafting it onto paper. The beauty of leather crafting is that there is no correct way to make things. We are all artist and it is an ancient art and craft that is passed down through many generations. In my class, all projects are special and one of a kind.
