About Joe
I'm Joe — a marine biologist, science communicator and adventurer currently working as a rainforest educator in the Amazon, Peru. I hold a First Class degree in Conservation Biology and have hands-on field experience including establishing a shark nursery in Indonesia and working on coral reef restoration in the Gili Islands.
Alongside my science background, I achieved top grades in Geography and Psychology at A-Level, and I'm a native English speaker with a genuine passion for teaching and communication. I'm also dyslexic myself, which has given me a real understanding of how differently people learn — and a lot of practical strategies for making information stick, especially for students who've ever felt like traditional teaching wasn't built for them.
I believe the best learning happens when a subject feels alive, not abstract — so I bring real field experience, real stories and real enthusiasm into every lesson, whatever the subject. My teaching style is relaxed, patient and tailored entirely to how you learn best.
Right now I'm based remotely while working and travelling, so all my lessons are online and flexible around your schedule and time zone. I'm genuinely excited to help you build confidence, understanding and results — whatever you're working towards.

I achieved top grades in Geography and Psychology at A-Level and went on to study Conservation Biology at university (First Class degree), so I understand exactly what examiners are looking for and how to build genuine understanding, not just memorisation.
I tutor GCSE and A-Level Geography and Psychology, with a particular strength in environmental geography, ecosystems, human-environment interaction, and psychological theory application. My own academic background means I can connect concepts across subjects in a way that makes them stick.
As someone who's dyslexic myself, I'm especially mindful of teaching in ways that work for different learning styles — not just the standard approach.
Lessons are relaxed, structured around your exam board and specific weak points, and fully online — I'm currently based remotely while working abroad in the Amazon rainforest.
Subjects covered: GCSE Geography, A-Level Geography, GCSE Psychology, A-Level Psychology

Perfect! Joe has been a great help to get through my R Studio coursework (Master's level)! He's really patient and takes the time to explain everything thoroughly. He's also great at finding a different approach if I don't understand the first explanation. 10/10 would recommend :)
