About Aditi

I’m Aditi, a 3rd year medical student, offering GCSE Maths and GCSE Further Maths tutoring for students looking to improve their confidence, understanding and exam performance.

I achieved grade 9s in both GCSE Maths and GCSE Further Maths, as well as an A* in A-Level Maths and an A in A-Level Further Maths.

I have experience individually tutoring Maths, both paid and unpaid, as well as through supported school programmes. Here, I have developed my teaching style, created useful resources, and understood the common mistakes and difficulties students often face when preparing for GCSE Maths exams.

Overall, my aim is to provide a well-rounded and personalised approach that helps students strengthen their understanding, improve their exam technique, and feel more confident approaching both familiar and unfamiliar Maths questions.

I’m excited to support students through their GCSE Maths journey and help them work towards their best possible grade. :)

About the lesson

I offer personalised support for GCSE Maths and GCSE Further Maths, including topic-by-topic teaching, exam question practice, revision planning, problem-solving techniques, timing strategies, and mock exam preparation.

My lessons are suitable for any GCSE student studying Maths or Further Maths, whether they have just started the course, are preparing for mocks, or are looking to improve their grade closer to the exam.

Lessons are usually between 1 and 1.5 hours, depending on student preference. Before any planned lessons, I will always speak with my student to discuss their current confidence level, their goals, and the areas they feel they need the most support with. From there, I pre-plan and tailor each lesson around their weaknesses and strengths. This may mean teaching topics from scratch, strengthening core understanding, or refining exam technique and timing.

A typical lesson usually starts with a small set of practice questions to identify common mistakes, gaps in understanding, or areas of uncertainty. From there, I go through key concepts and methods using prepared teaching materials, worked examples, and targeted questions throughout the lesson to apply and strengthen understanding. At the end, I recap what we have covered, check my student’s understanding, and usually assign some homework before our next session. This can include targeted exam-style questions, topic practice, or timed mini-tests.

I also like to spend a few minutes going over each student’s revision plan at home, so they can make sure their independent study is just as effective as their tutoring sessions. I encourage open discussion with students, so they feel comfortable being honest about what they find difficult and what teaching styles work best for them.

For me, it is important to help students understand exactly how to approach each style of question, rather than just memorising methods or relying on repeated question patterns. My goal is to help students become more confident, independent, and prepared for their exams.
