About Nancy

Current student at Edinburgh University studying for a degree in Literature and History. A LEVEL GRADES: -English: A* - Biology: A* - History: A* GCSE GRADES: 12 GCSEs at grades 8/9. I have vast and in-depth knowledge of the A Level and GCSE specifications. Tutoring experience: Having worked as a private tutor in a preparatory school for over a year, I am confident and well-equipped in everything required for tutoring a range of subjects. I tutored students between years 6-8 in an effort to coach them through their Common Entrance exams (with a 100% pass rate!) I have previous experience tutoring in Maths (years 7-9 students) and History for GCSE students which I found incredibly rewarding! More recently, tutoring GCSE biology, English literature and history has proved successful for me and my students. In the past year I have become very involved with the teach workshops for ages ranging from 12-25. Through my own creative writing, I have been invited to multiple schools where I have delivered readings and workshops based on my own work to secondary school students. My work in creative writing has lent itself well to a strong academic and creative writing style which greatly helps in areas such as: essay writing, personal statements, university entrance, academic coursework, and much more. If you need help in any of these areas, I would love to offer my support. About the lesson

I base my classes around the specific exam boards and specifications. I use a mixture of active spoken work, worksheets and practical methods such as annotating texts. I also give advice on helping students efficiently structure their revision in a way that is active and will achieve the best results!
