About Christopher

My name is Christopher and I am a Year 12 student at Stonyhurst College, one of the UK's leading independent schools.

I have always enjoyed Mathematics because of the logical thinking and problem solving it develops. Throughout my GCSE and A level experience, I have grown to understand that many of my peers and other students may struggle with maths and are not achieving the grade that they would like. I enjoy helping other people so I thought that tutoring could be a way in which I could that personally.

As a tutor, I aim to be approachable, patient and encouraging. I believe every student can improve in mathematics when concepts are explained clearly and supported with consistent practice. My goal is not only to help students achieve better grades but also develop confidence in their own abilities.

About the lesson

Hi, I'm Christopher, a Year 12 student at Stonyhurst College currently studying A-Level Mathematics, Economics and Business. I achieved Grade 8 in GCSE Mathematics, and I am currently working at an A grade in A-Level Mathematics hoping to get an A* in my final exams.

I offer friendly, patient and structured tuition for KS3 and GCSE Mathematics. Having completed these exams relatively recently, I understand the challenges students face and the techniques needed to improve confidence, problem-solving skills and exam performance.

My lessons are tailored to each student's needs, whether they are aiming to strengthen core skills, prepare for assessments, improve exam technique or work towards higher grades. Lessons can include:
• Topic-by-topic teaching and revision
• Worked examples and exam-style questions
• Help with homework and classwork
• GCSE exam preparation and revision planning
• Support transitioning from GCSE to A-Level Mathematics

Lesson length will either be 60 or 90 minutes.
These lessons are aimed at KS3, GCSE and just general secondary school students

I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence in Mathematics. Available for online lessons throughout the summer.
