About Jessie
When I was younger at 16 I used to have tutors that I looked at and were 35+. It almost felt like my mum was telling me how to revise! I look back and wish I had someone around the age I went through GCSE’s at to help. I’ve recently graduated with a BSc in Sports Psychology and Coaching Sciences. I absolutely loved captaining my football team at the university which not only has taught me how everyone has learnt differently, but also how to allow people to thrive in their own ways. I achieved an 8 in my GCSE after being predicted a 6 which allows me to understand the mistakes and issues I encountered. Alongside my university studies I have also worked within outreach for my placement year. This saw me teaching and coaching young children who I absolutely adored. After having the experience with young children I would love to help them in more of an academic way

The lessons that will be taught are approachable but most importantly enjoyable for individuals. Being 22 I remember going through GCSE and A-Level math recently and realising how hard the new specification is for a 16 year old to understand! I will start the lesson with a few problems from a variety of different topics to then assess where their area of weakness is. After this initial assessment I will contact and see how long they realistically need per session to not overwork them and build a report. I have worked within statistics for 6 years after completing A-Level statistics modules and also in my psychological research methods units in my BSc degree.
