About Anjiya
Hi! I’m Anjiya, a Genetics graduate from Queen Mary University of London and a Genetic Technologist working in a professional genetics laboratory. I’m passionate about Biology and enjoy helping students understand topics that can sometimes feel complicated or overwhelming.
I’m also currently studying an MSc in Genomic Medicine, continuing to develop my knowledge and experience in genetics and molecular biology.
I want to create a friendly and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and building their confidence. I believe that understanding the science is much more useful than simply memorising information, and I’d love to help students enjoy Biology while working towards their GCSE goals.

I offer personalised GCSE Biology lessons designed to help students understand the subject, build confidence and improve their exam technique.
I have previous teaching experience, where I worked with students and developed my ability to explain concepts clearly, adapt my approach to different learners and create a supportive learning environment. Although my experience has been in a classroom setting rather than private tutoring, I really enjoy helping students understand new concepts and seeing their confidence grow.
I am a Genetics graduate and currently work as a Genetic Technologist, giving me a strong academic and professional background in Biology, genetics and molecular biology. I am also currently studying an MSc in Genomic Medicine.
My lessons are relaxed, supportive and tailored to each student's individual needs. We can focus on understanding difficult topics, revising key concepts, working through exam questions and developing effective exam techniques.
Lessons are aimed at GCSE Biology students across all exam boards, whether you need support with a particular topic, are preparing for exams or simply want to feel more confident in Biology.
