About Maren

I am a dedicated and hardworking A-Level student currently studying Biology, Chemistry, and Business, with predicted grades of AAA and a strong academic record, having achieved GCSE grades 9–6 across all subjects. Alongside my studies, I regularly support friends and fellow students with both GCSE and A-Level revision, helping them understand challenging topics, improve exam technique, and build confidence in their abilities. Through my experience as a peer mentor, prefect, and an active member of youth leadership initiatives, I have developed excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills. I also have experience working in professional and healthcare environments, including volunteering at Wythenshawe Hospital, assisting at Ryan Baker Estate Agents, and completing work experience in both dentistry and optometry, all of which strengthened my ability to work with a wide range of people and explain information clearly and patiently. When helping students, I use a variety of high-quality revision resources, including PMT, Revisely, past papers, mark schemes, and official exam board websites, tailoring revision techniques to suit different learning styles. Fluent in both English and Arabic, I am approachable, reliable, and passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals while developing the confidence and independent study skills needed for long-term success.

About the lesson

I am currently studying A-Level Biology, Chemistry, and Business, with predicted grades of AAA and GCSEs ranging from grades 9–6 across all subjects. I regularly support students with GCSE and A-Level revision, helping with subject content, exam questions, and revision planning, alongside experience as a peer mentor and prefect which has developed my communication and leadership skills. My volunteering and work experience in healthcare and professional settings have also strengthened my ability to explain concepts clearly, remain patient, and adapt to different learners. My teaching approach focuses on building confidence, understanding, and exam technique by tailoring lessons to individual needs, breaking down complex topics, and using a range of resources such as past papers, mark schemes, and specification-based questions. Lessons typically last depending on the student, and can focus on content delivery, exam practice, or revision strategies, with an emphasis on active participation and developing independent learning skills.

She's able to explain things clearly and step by step, she also tries different ways to explain a concept in case you don't understand which I appreciate! e.g. visually, verbally, written etc.
