About Katie

Hi, I'm Katie! I am a 2nd year medical student at the University of Manchester. I have been tutoring for 2 years, having started in my gap year, and I have thoroughly enjoyed helping both GCSE and A level students significantly improve their grades across a range of subjects. My most recent pupils achieved 8s in their GCSE sciences, having previously been achieving grade 4 in their mock exams. Biology and chemistry are my biggest passions, and I love explaining the science to anyone who will listen, however, having achieved 10 grade 9s at GCSE, it is safe to say I am an all-rounder!

About the lesson

I am passionate about all four subjects I offer, and with experience working with secondary school and A level students I love to share this passion. A typical class will be tailored to the individual's needs and goals, and can include guidance with homework, exam practice, or working on difficult topics. I typically tend to begin lessons by focusing on recapping subject knowledge before moving on to exam question practice to focus on exam technique.
