About Alisha

Hello! My name is Alisha, and I am currently studying Primary Education at university, where I will soon be entering my third and final year. I have always been passionate about working with children and helping them develop confidence in their learning.

Before starting university, I studied Childcare at college and then worked with toddlers in a nursery setting for three years. This experience allowed me to build strong relationships with children and families while developing a good understanding of child development, communication and how to support each child’s individual needs.

During my university degree and school placements, I have continued to gain experience working with primary-aged children. I understand that every child learns differently, so I aim to make lessons engaging, supportive and tailored to each child’s learning style. My goal is to help children feel confident, enjoy learning and reach their full potential.

Alongside my studies, I also run my own dog walking business, which has strengthened my organisation, reliability and communication skills. I pride myself on being friendly, patient and approachable, and I am committed to creating a positive learning environment where children feel encouraged to ask questions and celebrate their progress.

I look forward to supporting your child on their learning journey and helping them achieve their goals.

About the lesson

Every child learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to suit their individual needs, learning style and pace. As a Primary Education student entering my third and final year at university, I use engaging, interactive activities to help children build confidence and enjoy learning.

I offer support in Maths, English, Reading, Writing and Phonics for children aged 5–11, as well as homework help and preparation for school assessments. Whether your child needs extra support to catch up, wants to build confidence, or is looking to challenge themselves further, I will create lessons that are fun, encouraging and focused on their personal goals.

My aim is to provide a positive learning environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and celebrating their progress. I believe that with the right support, every child can develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed.

Lessons are available online or in person (depending on location), and I am happy to discuss your child’s needs before we begin.
