About Martina
I'm an outgoing, patient and approachable Maths teacher who genuinely wants every student to succeed. I believe that with the right support and encouragement, every student can grow in confidence and achieve their potential, no matter what level they're starting from.
I enjoy building positive relationships with my students and creating a relaxed environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy playing sports, going to gigs, travelling and spending time outdoors. I bring the same energy and enthusiasm into my lessons, making Maths engaging, supportive and focused on helping students achieve their goals.

My lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs and begin by identifying their strengths, gaps in understanding, and any misconceptions that may be holding them back. I focus on building genuine understanding rather than memorising methods, so students develop confidence as well as mathematical skills.
For GCSE, A-Level and Further Maths students, lessons are highly exam-focused. We work through past paper questions, exam technique, mark schemes, and problem-solving strategies to maximise marks and avoid common mistakes. I also help students learn how to approach unfamiliar questions with confidence.
Lessons are interactive, supportive and challenging, with plenty of opportunities for students to ask questions and practise new concepts during the session. My goal is to help every student achieve their target grade, whether that's improving confidence, moving up a grade boundary, or aiming for the highest grades.

She was my high school teacher for Math and Further Math, and helped me achieve an A* in both. She made the classroom feel like a second home through her constant support, engaging lessons and clear explanations.
