About Clement

My name is Clément, I'm 25 and after working as a developer I left because I didn't like what I was doing (or at least what I was ask to do).
I like programming a lot, for me it's a bit like DIY (I do woodworking in my spare time).
I really like building little things with lines of code, graphic animations, simple apps to make my life easier, etc. The creative possibilities are almost endless in development and that's what lacked in my job: a little creativity!
For the teaching approach I have always liked to transmit and teach people. I gave private lessons to middle school students when I was in high school and then in college I was the person who could help others to really understand the course, a kind of second teacher.

About the lesson

From my perspective, programming is mostly about practice. Together we will practice, do a lot of small exercises and we will also surely fail a lot. In this area it's important to make mistakes, it's okay and you learn a lot by doing it. The main thing is to never get stuck, you have to try, even anything.

The course I am offering will start with live-coding, that is to say that I will explain certain points while programming at the same time. then it's up to you to do a little exercise with me to help you if necessary. And we end with an exercise which is linked to the "Common thread". The common thread is a little game that you will program from scratch. For me this is the best way to learn: by playing.

There are no specific prerequisites for taking this course, other than knowing how to use a computer and do a research on the internet. There is also no minimum age. For me anyone can learn to program!
I would adapt the course and the content to suit the students. I can keep it very simple or go into details.
