About Julia

Meet Your Tutor: Corporate Expertise Meets Passionate Teaching Hello! I am a Senior Manager at one of Canada’s Top 5 Banks in Downtown Toronto, bringing real-world, high-level financial expertise directly to your lessons. I am here to help you not only understand Accounting but master it, and to share the beautiful world of the Korean Language with you. Why Learn With Me? My Background is Your Advantage I offer a unique blend of global finance experience and proven teaching success: Elite Professional Expertise: I am a highly educated finance professional with four years of invaluable experience at a well-recognized Big 4 Accounting Firm in Seoul, South Korea. This background means your accounting and finance lessons are grounded in the principles that drive global business today. A Proven Track Record in Tutoring: My passion for teaching isn't new. I tutored Accounting and Economics from my fourth year of university through to high school students for three years. A Testament to Success: I once helped a Grade 11 Accounting student struggling with poor grades not only boost their mark to a 90%+ average but also successfully secure admission to one of the top business schools in Canada. I know how to turn confusion into confidence. The World of Korean, Simplified: As a Native Korean Speaker, I am driven by a strong interest in connecting with people across the globe and sharing the beauty of the Korean language and culture. Beyond teaching Korean, I am also adept at helping native Korean speakers improve their English. Ready to transform your understanding of Debits and Credits, or start speaking Hangul confidently? Let's leverage my professional experience to achieve your academic and linguistic goals!

About the lesson

My approach is built on three core pillars to ensure maximum learning and retention: 1. Highly Personalized & Focused Structure: Forget one-size-fits-all lessons. We start with a diagnostic assessment (formal or informal) to pinpoint your exact needs, challenges, and goals. Lessons are then meticulously structured to drill down on your weakest areas or the specific topics you've requested (e.g., Korean grammar particles, cost accounting principles). Every minute of our session will be productive and targeted. 2. Collaborative & Interactive Learning: You are not just a passive listener! My sessions are dynamic and hands-on. We will work together, not just side-by-side. Expect practical activities like role-playing Korean dialogues, analyzing real-world case studies in accounting, and working through problems together on a shared digital whiteboard. Your active participation is key to solidifying your understanding. 3. Fun, Engaging, and Real-World Relevant: Learning should never be a chore! I integrate fun, real-world materials to keep you motivated. For Korean, we might use K-pop lyrics, drama clips, or simple web articles. For Accounting, we'll look at relevant business examples to show you why these concepts matter. A positive and relaxed atmosphere helps information stick!
