About Tom

I've been working in the music industry for over 10 years in live sound, radio, recording studios, night clubs, events, and festivals both in the UK and abroad.

I graduated in Leeds with an honours degree in Music Technology and am now a full-time DJ and Music Producer.

I currently DJ all over the UK, hold a monthly radio show on KMAH Radio in Leeds, and produce music for use in my own DJ sets.

About the lesson

I always start by talking to my learners to find out exactly what they want to achieve in their lessons. Everyone learns in different ways, so I adapt my teaching style depending on the learner and will always demonstrate the reasons behind any process so my students feel confident using their new skills in their own projects.

Over the years, I have worked with a range of music production and DJ hardware and software, and understand how to teach the universal skills that translate across these different formats. Whether you want to work with music hardware, make music electronically (in Ableton Live, Logic Pro, or Pro Tools etc.), or DJ with a laptop, CDJ's, or vinyl, the skills that underpin all of this are the same.
