About Allison
Hi! I'm a lifelong educator who genuinely loves helping students discover what they're capable of accomplishing.
I hold a doctorate in Educational Leadership and have spent more than 20 years working with middle and high school students as a classroom teacher, department chair, and school administrator. I've taught English, literature, AP courses, and psychology, so I understand the challenges students face at different academic levels.
One of my favorite parts of teaching has always been watching a student go from "I can't do this" to "I've got it!" I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and trying again.
I'm patient, encouraging, and committed to meeting students where they are while helping them reach their goals. Whether your student needs a little extra support or wants to take their skills to the next level, I'd love to help!

I believe every student can become a stronger, more confident writer with the right guidance and encouragement. After more than 20 years in education, I've learned that the best teaching starts with understanding the individual student—what they do well, where they struggle, and what they hope to accomplish.
My lessons are personalized, practical, and encouraging. We'll typically begin by identifying a specific goal, whether that's organizing an essay, analyzing literature, improving grammar, or preparing for an AP exam. From there, we'll work together using examples, guided practice, and constructive feedback that students can actually apply.
I've taught everything from middle school English to AP Literature and have also served in school leadership. I understand both the academic expectations students face and the confidence they need to meet them.
I work primarily with middle and high school students, including those preparing for advanced coursework or college-level writing. My goal isn't simply to help students complete an assignment. It's to help them develop skills they'll carry into their next class and beyond.
