About Mallory
After 10 wonderful years living in Florence, Italy, where I have had the opportunity to immerse myself in Italian culture while teaching English at an elementary school, I have a luggage of knowledge that can help you thrive on your Italian language journey!
Teaching students from a different cultural background over these years has taught me the value of patience, creativity, and building genuine connections through language.
I have always loved helping others communicate and discover new worlds through language. Raising two bilingual Italian-American daughters has also been one of my greatest learning experiences — they continue to inspire me and help me become a better teacher every day by reminding me of the beauty, challenges, and joy of growing up between two languages and cultures.
My goal is to share that same passion for language, connection, and cultural understanding with every student I teach.

Having learned Italian myself during my 10 years living in Florence, I understand firsthand the challenges and rewards of learning a new language. This experience allows me to teach with greater patience, empathy, and insight because I have truly been in my students’ shoes.
My Italian lessons focus on building a strong foundation through grammar, useful everyday phrases, pronunciation, and the natural way Italians communicate in real-life situations. Beyond textbooks, I help students understand the expressions, rhythms, and cultural nuances that make Italian feel authentic.
Whether you are a beginner, preparing for travel, reconnecting with your Italian heritage, or simply passionate about the language, my goal is to help you develop confidence and enjoy the journey of learning Italian.
