About Shuaining
Hello! My name is Ning and I am a native Mandarin speaker currently studying for my Master’s degree at the University of Southampton in the UK.
I enjoy learning languages and communicating with people from different cultures, which is one of the reasons I love teaching Mandarin. I believe language learning should be supportive, engaging and enjoyable.
As someone who is patient and friendly, I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and practising their Chinese. I am especially happy to help beginners who are just starting their Mandarin learning journey.

My teaching approach focuses on helping students build a strong foundation in Mandarin step by step. Lessons usually begin with pronunciation and pinyin practice to help students understand the sounds of Mandarin clearly.
A typical lesson may include learning new vocabulary, practising simple sentence structures, and using short conversations to help students apply what they have learned. I also use real-life examples and interactive exercises to make lessons engaging and practical.
I adapt each lesson to the student’s level, pace and learning goals. Whether you want to improve your speaking confidence, practise pronunciation, or simply start learning Mandarin from the beginning, lessons will be structured in a supportive and encouraging environment.
