About Misbah

Hi, I'm Misbah! I’m a First-Class Biomedical Science graduate, an incoming dental student and an experienced tutor with over five years of experience helping students feel more confident in science.

My varied background shapes the way I work with students. Alongside tutoring, I have worked in medical communications and the corporate healthcare world, where I developed strong skills in explaining scientific information clearly, communicating professionally and staying organised. Having trained in youth work, supporting children and young people comes naturally to me.

As an artist, creativity plays an important role in how I teach. I enjoy using diagrams, visuals, memorable examples and different ways of explaining a topic until it clicks. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to the individual rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

I teach KS3 and GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics, including Combined and Triple Science. I have supported students with a wide range of abilities and confidence levels, helping them strengthen their foundations, understand difficult topics and improve their exam technique.

My teaching style is warm, patient and encouraging. I take my students’ goals seriously and aim to provide a reliable, professional and welcoming learning environment where they feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and building genuine confidence in their abilities!

About the lesson

I know science can feel confusing, especially when a student has missed a few key foundations or started to believe they are “just not good at it.”

My teaching style is warm and encouraging, and I create a relaxed space where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I break difficult topics into clear, manageable steps and adapt each lesson to the individual student.

Lessons may include diagrams, videos, practice questions, exam technique, past-paper practice and revision planning. I also use active recall and evidence-based revision methods to help students understand and remember what they learn.

I teach KS3 and GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics, including Combined and Triple Science. Lessons usually last 60 minutes and are suitable for students who need extra support, want to rebuild their confidence or are working towards the highest grades.

My aim is not only to improve grades, but to support students in every part of their learning, from building strong foundations and developing effective revision habits to becoming more confident and independent
