About Annie
I'm an enthusiastic and dedicated English tutor with a strong academic background. I hold an MA in English Literature from Durham University and a BA in English Literature from Warwick University.
My passion for the subject has been a driving force throughout my educational journey, from excelling in English Literature and Language at GCSE with A* grades to studying three essay-based subjects at A-level.
I have been tutoring English for five years, and have completed over 300 lessons with students.

I aim to provide an engaging and encouraging environment to help each student focus, learn, and gain confidence in their own abilities. I tailor every session to the specific needs of each student, and provide flexibility in the structure and planning of all my lessons depending on the desired focus of the tutee.
Lessons will involve comprehensive work with past papers and practice exam-style questions, as well as in-depth readings of the texts; identifying literary devices and how meaning is shaped in the text. Making sure essays produced are well-structured and have clear intent will ensure that all assessment objectives are fulfilled, but another important focus in my lessons is textual analysis and understanding the texts studied on a micro-level.
